Driver charged after going over embankment
A man from St. George's on the west coast has been charged with drug-impaired driving after he drove his truck over an embankment in Corner Brook on Thursday morning.
The man, 65, drove through a railing in the Coleman's parking lot off O'Connell Drive at around 8:50 a.m.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said the truck went down a steep hill and ended up in a backyard off Randolph Street.
According to the RNC, no one was injured in the incident.
The driver was released to appear in court at a later date.
