Drilling resumes on offshore rig
Drilling has resumed on Husky Energy's offshore rig, the Henry Goodrich.
Husky Energy suspended operations on July 11 after a flash fire on the drilling floor, which the company said workers quickly put out using a power washer.
The company completed the offshore component of its investigation into the fire on the weekend, finding that the fire was caused when a flammable substance was ignited by the friction between two pieces of equipment.
The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board said corrective measures were taken to address safety concerns, and the investigation into the fire is continuing.
