A young woman tried to rob a pharmacy in St. John's on Wednesday evening, with an unusual choice of weapon.
The suspect used a drill, as well as a knife, when she held up an unnamed pharmacy in the city's east end, police said.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said someone in the pharmacy placed a call for help during the incident.
Police were able to make an arrest at the scene.
A woman, 21, was taken into custody and is expected to appear in provincial court on charges of armed robbery and uttering threats.
She is also accused of breaching the terms of her probation.
