The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is seeking the same suspect in two back-to-back pharmacy holdups in downtown St. John's Thursday afternoon.

The pair of armed robberies occurred within 10 minutes of each other.

Between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., PharmaChoice on Water Street was robbed, followed by Healy's Pharmacy on Casey Street.

According to the RNC, the lone male suspect was armed when he entered the PharmaChoice and demanded narcotics before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount.

Police said the same suspect then headed to Healy's Pharmacy, where he also made off with an undisclosed amount of narcotics.

The RNC described the suspect as approximately 6 feet tall with a skinny build, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, white sneakers and a red baseball hat.

Police said no injuries were reported in either incident, but didn't specify what kind of weapon had been used.

The RNC urge anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
