Divers located the body Wednesday afternoon of a duck hunter who was reported missing at a fishing hole on Newfoundland's Bonavista Peninsula.
The body of the Goose Cove resident was found after 3 p.m. in Trout Pond, near Ocean Pond, Sgt. Wayne Newell said.
The man had been reported missing on Monday evening when he failed to return home. An hour later, searchers found the man's overturned canoe.
Newell said the office of the chief medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
The man's name has not been released. He was in his 60s.
An underwater recovery unit and a volunteer search and rescue team were both on the scene Wednesday.
Police said murky conditions and tall grasses in Ocean Pond, which is about 11 metres deep in places, hampered the dive team.
