While airport workers in St. John's have been on the picket line for more than six weeks, members of the same union reached a deal with the airport authority in Deer Lake within five days of negotiations.

Both sides have ratified the five-year agreement, but they haven't released the details.

Represented by Public Service Alliance of Canada, the 15 employees do the same type of work as the 85 who are on strike in St. John's. They provide operational and technical services, including firefighting, maintenance work and administration.
