Death threats uttered in Grand Falls-Windsor assault
A man was in custody in Grand Falls-Windsor Thursday morning, accused of causing an overnight ruckus at an apartment building.
Police said the man, 45, forced himself into an apartment, assaulted a man inside and then forced a woman to leave with him.
Several people called the RCMP as they witnessed the scene, which played out just after midnight.
When a neighbour tried to intervene, the suspect not only hit him as well, but threatened to kill him, RCMP said.
The suspect forced the woman into the apartment, where he was soon arrested.
He faces two charges of uttering death threats, three counts of assault and one count of break-and-enter.
