A Canadian Forces Cormorant helicopter airlifted a crewman from a vessel off the south coast of Newfoundland early Thursday evening.
According to the military, a crew from 103 Squadron in Gander conducted the medevac about 157 kilometres off Burin.
They hoisted the 62-year-old crewmember from the vessel to the Cormorant.
The chopper brought the man to the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, where he was transported to a waiting ambulance which brought him to the hospital.
There was no word on what happened to him, or his condition.
