Three Corner Brook teenagers will make an appearance in youth justice court after they allegedly stole a vehicle early on Sunday morning.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary received a report around 3 a.m. that a vehicle had been stolen from the French's Road area.

As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old male was charged with theft over $5,000 and a count of hit and run for striking a parked car in the same area where the vehicle was stolen from.

A 14-year-old female was charged with theft over $5,000 and for breaching probation, while a second female teen, 15, was also charged with theft.

Patrol officers found the vehicle on the Lewin Parkway shortly after the complaint was reported.

All three were released to the custody of their parents and will appear in court at a later date.

The RNC said there was minor damage to the stolen vehicle and moderate damage to the parked vehicle.
