Another union which represents workers at Corner Brook Pulp and Paper has signed a new collective agreement with the mill's owner, Kruger.

The Atlantic representative for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers confirmed with CBC news on Thursday that a new contract was signed on Wednesday evening.

The union represents skilled trades workers such as millwrights, machinists and welders.

The new deal will be in place until June 2014.

The Newfoundland and Labrador government set aside $90 million in its latest budget to help keep the doors of the mill open, but that loan will only kick in when the company and its unions put new labour agreements in place.
