The damaged Canadian Coast Guard vessel Ann Harvey reached dockside at St. John's harbour Wednesday evening, as preparations were made to assess and repair damage to the hull.

The ship, which was used for light icebreaking operations this winter, was doing navigational work off the coast of Burgeo on April 1 when it ran aground.

The CCGS Telost began towing the damaged ship from Connaire Bay to St. John's Monday night.

An assessment of the hull will be completed in the coming days dockside, and repairs will be made in dry dock.
