Clyde Jackman bullying complaint resolved: Tom Marshall
Allegations of bullying brought against the province's education minister earlier this month have been resolved, according to a statement from the premier's office.
Nathan Whalen, the president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of School Councils, told CBC News that he felt bullied when Clyde Jackman approached him after the budget was delivered March 27.
Whalen said at the time that it was Jackman's tone of voice and the way the remarks were made that bothered him.
Premier Marshall said his office received a complaint, and his chief of staff was in contact with Whalen about the issue.
In a statement, Marshall said a meeting was arranged between Jackman and Whalen, and both agreed to put the issue behind them.
"I am advised both parties have reiterated a strong desire to put this matter behind them and move forward. I accept their decision and believe the matter is resolved," said Marshall.
