About 88 people scaled down the side of Atlantic Place in downtown St. John's on Saturday for the 2013 Easter Seals Drop Zone.
This is the third year for the event, and organizers said it was the most successful one yet.
Event organizer Kirk Leach said all of the participants were on board to rappel the 150 feet down the side of the building.
"Most of them are really nervous starting out, that first step they say is the hardest, but they're thrilled to get down to the bottom," Leach said.
"They all participated in training at Wallnuts, but that was a very short wall, so to come down a building as tall as this certainly was a big challenge for them, but they're thrilled to have achieved the goal and to have done it for such a great cause."
The event raised $96,000 in pledges, which will go to programs and services for children and youth in the province with disabilities.
