Town of Clarenville to host Allan Cup in 2015

The Clarenville Caribous have advanced to the final of the Allan Cup, the Canadian Mens Senior AAA Hockey Championship.

Clarenville defeated the Rosetown Red Wings 6-2 in their semi-final game Friday in Red Deer, Alberta.

Their opponent was decided Friday night when host team, Bentley Generals, defeated Kenora Thistles 3-2.

The final between the Caribous and the Generals is set for 9:00 Saturday night, Newfoundland time.  

Clarenville won the Allan Cup in 2011 — and the town will host the tournament in 2015.
