Chain-reaction collision outside South Brook injures 2
A five-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near South Brook on Monday has left two people injured.
Traffic was moving slowly at the time due to whiteout conditions, the RCMP's Springdale detachment said in a statement.
An eastbound tractor trailer was unable to stop and collided with the vehicle in front, triggering a chain reaction of collisions.
One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A woman received minor injuries when her vehicle was struck after she pulled over to assist with the initial collision.
The TCH was shut down for about three hours to clear up the mess.
