A single vehicle accident in Happy Valley-Goose Bay Thursday morning sent a woman and a child to hospital.
The accident happened after the car the woman was driving crossed Hamilton River Road and hit a cement block in the median.
According to the RCMP, it appears the driver lost control of the vehicle and entered the grassy divide.
Emergency crews used the Jaws of Life to free the driver.
The child passenger was able to get out of the car, and was taken away in an ambulance.
The female driver, 67, was also taken away in an ambulance once she was free from the car.
There is no word on the cause of the accident or any injuries.
