C.B.S. high-speed chase ends in 2 arrests
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary arrested two men early Sunday morning, following a high speed chase in Conception Bay South.
Police said they tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation around 3:30 a.m.
The vehicle then sped away, running a red light.
The RNC found the vehicle a short time later in a ditch near the entrance to the C.B.S. bypass road at Lawrence Pond Road.
Police charged a 29-year-old man with dangerous driving, flight from police, impaired driving, refusing the breathalyzer and breach of court orders.
There were no injuries, but the vehicle was seriously damaged.
