RCMP said Wednesday his body was found near where his all-terrain vehicle had earlier been pulled from the water.
Exploits Search and Rescue located the man's body Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The search had involved ground crews, as well as searchers who used helicopters, ATVs and boats.
The ATV had been submerged in about 20 feet of water in the Charles Arm Waterway.
Family members had been staying at a nearby cabin, with some joining the search effort. One family member said he "just couldn't sit still" and wait for news.
The missing man was last seen Sunday at 10 a.m. on his ATV in the Charles Brook area.
He had been expected to return home by noon that day.
