The search for a man who went missing in Bay Roberts came to an end on Friday when search and rescue crews found his body in shallow water, not far from where he was last seen.

Andrew Lush, 37, was reported missing four days ago.

Sgt. Greg Hicks, with the Harbour Grace detachment of the RCMP, said the area where Lush was discovered was not searched before because it was ice-covered.

Lush went missing after a pub crawl which ended at Kelly's Landing, a bar in Bay Roberts.

He was last spotted walking along Water Street, after having been escorted out of the bar.

Lush's family suspected that he had fallen into the water.
