A Springdale bank that was destroyed by a spectacular fire earlier this month is back in business.
The Bank of Montreal and Home Hardware were destroyed in the Jan. 9 blaze.
BMO plans to rebuild, but for now is operating out of a trailer across the street from its former location.
People in the town are happy to have the bank — one of just two in the town — back up and running.
Audine Anstey's daughter works at BMO.
"I was very concerned, but everything is back, which is the way it should be and I'm so glad," said Anstey.
Home Hardware owner Chris Morgan said he also plans to rebuild.
"March 1 is the date I'm throwing out there, that's when we're breaking ground," said Morgan.
RCMP said they do not have a definitive cause of the fire yet, but they believe it was electrical.
