Bill Parsons likely to testify against Myles-Leger
A former lawyer who used to represent property developer Myles-Leger is expected to be called as a Crown witness against three men charged with fraud.
Bill Parsons, 61, also faces almost 40 fraud-related charges.
Court was told on Monday that Parsons has selected a trial by jury, and that a preliminary inquiry on the charges against him is set to begin in October.
Parsons had originally been charged along with Randy and Bill Clarke, the brothers who founded Myles-Leger, and accountant Terrence Reardon.
However, Parsons' case has since been separated from the others.
The court has been told Parsons will be called as a witness in the Crown's case against the other three.
They also have chosen trial by jury and their preliminary inquiry will take place in November.
