One man is in serious condition and another is in custody following a vicious attack in St. John's on Saturday.
Brandon Tobin, 20, is accused of assaulting two men with a baseball bat on Keegan Court.
Police responded to the call shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday, but the accused and victims had already left the area.
One of the victims was later located in hospital being treated for what police describe as serious injuries. The second victim was not seriously hurt.
The RNC investigation eventually led officers to Tobin, and he was arrested without incident around 1:30 Sunday morning. He was held in custody pending a court appearance later Sunday, when he was formally charged with aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, breach of probation and breach of an undertaking.
Tobin remains in custody and is due back in court Monday for a bail hearing.
The victim remains in hospital in serious condition.
