A St. John's woman has been charged with arson after a fire in April that levelled a home on Bauline Line Extension, north of St. John's.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said the unnamed woman, 39, is accused of setting the fire in the early hours of April 26.
No one was hurt in the incident, which was deemed suspicious from the outset.
The house collapsed from the force of the fire, as crews from the Portugal Cove-St. Phillip's fire department struggled to contain it. Crews remained on the scene for hours to deal with hotspots.
In a statement, the RNC said the investigation is still open, and that investigators are accepting information from the public through direct contact or through the anonymous Crime Stoppers tip service.
