Alcohol involved in Labrador snowmobile collision
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said a man was charged with impaired driving after two snowmobiles collided in Labrador early Saturday morning, sending one man to hospital.
Police responded to a report of the collision around 1 a.m. on a lake in the area of Southeastern Arm, about 30 kilometres east of Labrador City.
A 32-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the crash.
RNC detained a second man, 23, and charged him with impaired driving causing bodily harm and operating a motor vehicle over the legal limit causing bodily harm.
The man was released to appear in provincial court at a later date.
