The man suspected of having been the getaway driver in a St. John's murder investigation was released on bail Wednesday.
Jonathan Rowe is charged with accessory after the fact in connection with the July 2011 shooting death of Nick Winsor on Portugal Cove Road.
Rowe has been in custody since he was arrested in April.
The Crown wanted Rowe to remain in custody until his trial, but in a hearing at Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, Justice Robert Hall released him on a $5,000 bond.
Rowe is accused of aiding Philip Pynn and Lyndon Butler, who face charges of second-degree murder, attempted murder and armed robbery.
Winsor, 20, was shot to death during a late-night incident that sources have told CBC News was a botched robbery attempt.
