2 vehicles likely torched on Indian Meal Line
Police believe two vehicle fires that happened in the same neighbourhood and around the same time early Tuesday were deliberately set.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and regional firefighters were called around 2:20 a.m. to two vehicle fires on Indian Meal Line.
The vehicles were about half a kilometre apart, on the Portugal Cove end of the road.
One was on the side of the road, while the other had been parked in a commercial parking lot.
Meanwhile, police and the fire department were also called to a shed fire on Doyles Road in the Goulds area of St. John's. The structure was destroyed.
The RNC said the scene has been secured so that a fire investigator can examine it.
