Two people remain in hospital following a vehicle accident near Howley on the Trans-Canada Highway.
The RCMP said a westbound vehicle crossed into the oncoming traffic lane and struck the side of a eastbound transport truck at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
The car then crashed into an SUV that was driving behind the truck, according to police.
The 17-year-old driver and 18-year-old passenger of the car were taken to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook. The police said they had non-life threatening injuries.
The Deer Lake Fire Department used the jaws of life to remove the driver from the car.
The two people in the SUV and the driver of the transport truck were not injured.
Police are investigating the cause of the collision.
