Two early-morning fires in St. John's drew crews from the St. John's Regional Fire Department on Monday.

Minor damage was reported at two house fires in St. John's on Monday morning. (CBC)

No one was injured in either case. 

The first fire was reported around 1:50 a.m. at a home in the city's downtown. The home sustained minor fire and smoke damage. 

The second fire broke out shortly before 3 a.m. in the east end of St. John's, with damage also described as minor. 

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, which responded to both calls, said neither fire is considered suspicious.
