Warrants of arrest issued for brothers in home invasion
Warrants of arrest have been issued for two brothers in connection with a home invasion that resulted in a death in west Saint John over the weekend.
Bradley Neil Saia, 21, is described as being five feet, 10 inches tall, 145 pounds with brown hair, says Sgt. Dave Brooker of the Saint John Police Force's major crime unit.
Brandon Michael Saia, also 21, is described as being five feet, nine inches tall, 120 pounds, with brown hair.
"Any person found assisting or harbouring these individuals is subject to charges under the Criminal Code," Brooker said in a statement.
A warrant of arrest has also been issued for a 16-year-old, who cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, he said.
Two men, aged 20 and 21, have already been arrested in connection with the incident at 341 Prince St. West and face robbery and weapons-related charges.
An 18-year-old man who died after being stabbed in the incident was also a suspect in the home invasion, police have said. His name has been released.
Police were called to home near Champlain Street at about 4:30 a.m. on Saturday. Officers found two stabbing victims — the 18-year-old who died and a 21-year-old man who lived at the home.
Police say the home invasion was not random. The investigation continues.
