A 17-year-old from Saint-Antoine has been charged with pointing a firearm and uttering threats in connection with an incident in the eastern New Brunswick village on Thursday.
Police say the gun, believed to be a long gun, has not been recovered.
RCMP were called to an altercation at a residence on Renaud Road at about 1:30 a.m., Sgt. Jeff Johnston stated in a news release.
"The investigation has determined that a firearm was pointed at an individual during the altercation but was not discharged," he said.
A 17-year-old male, who made a brief appearance in Moncton provincial court on Thursday, is also charged with breach of an undertaking, said Johnston.
The teen has been remanded in custody until a bail hearing on Oct. 29.
