A New Brunswick man wanted in connection with an attempted murder in Moncton has been arrested, police say.

Tristan Harold Lyons, 19, was arrested outside a Moncton motel Friday afternoon, RCMP said.

A warrant for his arrest was issued Wednesday in connection with a home invasion and attempted murder on June 24. Lyons also faces breaking and entering and firearms related charges.

A woman, 25, was also arrested for helping Lyons to escape.

Both are scheduled to appear in Moncton provincial court next week.
