The Sussex RCMP arrested Timothy Murray Bostwick, who is facing a series of charges related to a recent assault on campers, on Tuesday.
Police said in a statement that Bostwick, 44, was arrested without incident at 6:30 p.m. in Hatfield Point.
The RCMP credited a tip that came from the public.
Bostwick will appear in Burton provincial court to face charges of uttering threats, assault with a weapon, two counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and mischief.
The charges stem from an early-morning incident on June 1 at a campground off Route 695, between Cambridge Narrows and Springfield.
The police have said the assault took place in the woods where a group of adults were camping.
One man was cut during the alleged assault. He was treated at a hospital and released, according to the police. He was the only person injured.
