A 41-year-old man has been sentenced to nine years in prison in connection with the armed robbery of a restaurant and bar near Fredericton last month.
Jonathan Edward Feeney, of Smithfield, had previously pleaded guilty to charges of robbery with an imitation firearm and wearing a mask during the commission of an indictable offence.
RCMP were called to the City Limits Sports Bar and Grill on Highway 10 in Richibucto Road on Feb. 4 after an armed man who was wearing a snowmobile helmet made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No one was injured.
Feeney was sentenced in Fredericton provincial court on Friday.
