A 19-year-old man will be in court on Friday to face charges stemming from a home invasion and abduction that happened on Fredericton's south side on Wednesday night.
Sgt. Paul Battis said a 24-year-old Fredericton man was at home when an unknown man broke into his house at 9 p.m., wearing a mask and carrying a weapon.
Battis said the victim reported being forced out of his home and into a vehicle.
The suspect was arrested in the Nackawic area at about 11:15 p.m. following a collision.
The RCMP is continuing with its investigation.
As well, the Fredericton Police force is investigating the abduction and home invasion.
The suspect will appear in provincial court in Fredericton on March 8 to face charges related to the investigation.
The victim was not hurt during the abduction.
