Woman, 72, dies after Oromocto house fire
Officials have not released the victim's name

A house fire in Oromocto Friday afternoon claimed the life of a 72-year-old woman.
RCMP Sgt. Jeff Johnston said emergency services were called to the fire on Evans Drive about 4:30 p.m.
Johnston said the woman was taken from the burning house and was transported to hospital where she later died from injuries related to the fire.
The name of the victim has not been released.
The fire marshall, the coroner's office and the RCMP continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
