Human remains discovered before Christmas in Moncton have been identified as a 19-year-old Moncton man.

The skeletal remains of Sunny Blue Best-Buckle were spotted by a man walking his dog in a wooded area next to Wheeler Boulevard on Dec. 22.

The cause of death has not been determined but the Codiac Regional RCMP are not ruling out foul play.

Best-Buckle had not been reported missing to police.

RCMP used dental records to identify the man.

"While testing and analysis to this point has not revealed any signs of foul play, it has not been ruled out,” according to a statement by the police.

“Investigators are attempting to determine how long the remains may have been in the woods and are asking for the public's assistance.”
