A Boiestown man is $1 million richer following Saturday's Atlantic 49 draw.
Jean-Yves Doiron, who picked up his winnings on Monday, says he plans to go on a "good caribou hunt in Quebec with the guys."
"I've always had a dream and a list," said Doiron, who went to a local store early Sunday morning to check his ticket and heard the winning "wahoo" sound.
"I saw his face and I knew something was wrong," recalled his wife Barbara.
"I’d seen that look 15 years ago when he’d been chased by a bear,” she said. “This time it turned out better.”
Doiron's other plans for the winnings include taking care of their children's future, buying a red truck and travel trailer, a new vehicle for his wife, and renovations their house, including a garage and solarium.
Anne’s Convenience in Boiestown will receive a one per cent seller’s prize for selling the winning ticket.
