Police in eastern New Brunswick are investigating after an SUV allegedly crashed through the front window of a pharmacy and fled.

Police say were alerted to the incident when an alarm at the store in Riverside-Albert was triggered at about 9:15 p.m. Monday.

They say the vehicle caused extensive damage at the pharmacy, which was closed at the time.

Officers executed a search warrant at a nearby residence and seized a black SUV.

Police say the accident is not believed to be an attempted break and enter.
