Oromocto RCMP probe complaint of woman approaching children
Children say she offered them a teddy bear

RCMP in Oromocto are investigating a complaint about a woman approaching three children after school on Monday and offering them a teddy bear.
The children, ages 10 and 11, say they were walking on St. Lawrence Avenue at about 3:30 p.m. when a woman driving a navy pickup truck asked them if they wanted to have a teddy bear from the back of her truck, Cpl. Chantal Farrah stated in a news release.
The children said no and walked away, Farrah said.
Police are attempting to identify the woman and determine what her intentions were, she said.
The incident comes on the heels of two other possible attempted child-luring cases in the area.
On Oct. 19, an 11-year-old girl said she was walking behind Harold Peterson Middle School when a man standing by a black van with the engine running called her over.
On Oct. 18, Fredericton police received reports of a man with a silver SUV following a student to Devon Middle School, taking pictures along the way and outside the school.
