Codiac Regional RCMP are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect in an armed robbery at a Moncton convenience store early Friday morning.

A man, who was armed with a knife and had his face covered, entered the Needs Convenience store at 99 Morton Ave., shortly before 1 a.m. and demanded money, Const. Damien Thériault stated in a news release.

The man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, Thériault said.

No one was injured.

The suspect is described as being Caucasian, about five feet, six inches tall, and English-speaking.

He was wearing a dark winter jacket, jeans, white running shoes and a dark tuque at the time.
