Two men are facing charges after a pharmacy in Hartland was robbed at knifepoint on Wednesday afternoon.
Two men, who were armed with knives and had their faces covered, made off with an undisclosed amount of money and prescription drugs from the Nevers Pharmacy on Main Street, RCMP Sgt. Tammy Ward stated in a release.
No one was injured, she said.
The suspects fled on foot at about 3:50 p.m.
Less than an hour later, with the help of a police dog, as well as witnesses, who described the suspects and indicated their direction of travel, they were found hiding behind a residence near Main Street and were arrested without incident, Ward said.
A 43-year-old man from Aroostook and a 20-year-old man from Carlingford were both charged with armed robbery in Woodstock provincial court on Thursday.
They have been remanded in custody pending another court appearance on Monday, when they are expected to also be charged with wearing a mask while committing an offence and using a weapon during a crime.
