The collision occurred on Highway 105 in Pembroke, near Woodstock. (Google Maps)An 84-year-old man from Pembroke was killed in a head-on collision with a transport truck near Woodstock Tuesday night.
The man was travelling on Highway 105 at about 7:20 p.m. when his car crossed the centre line, RCMP Sgt. Tammy Ward stated in a news release.
The car collided with a transport truck hauling logs, she said.
The victim's name has not been released.
Ward said the driver of the truck was not injured.
RCMP are investigating with the help of a collision reconstructionist.
