A 25-year-old New Brunswick man has been sentenced to three years in prison in connection with a six-month drug investigation in the Greater Moncton area.

Trevor Dow, of Saint-Phillippe, pleaded guilty to four counts of trafficking cocaine and four counts of possession of property obtained by crime, RCMP Staff Sgt. André Potvin stated in a release.

Dow was also fined $53,000, but has the option of serving an additional 18 months in prison instead of paying, Potvin said.

Dow was charged in July, along with Stéphane Gallant, 43, as part of operation J-Token.

Gallant was sentenced on Sept. 4 to five years in prison.

About 1.5 kilograms of cocaine were seized during the course of the investigation, said Potvin.
