A 43-year-old man in Burton is facing charges in connection with a joint police force investigation into child sexual abuse images, say RCMP.
Officers raided a home in Burton on Thursday and seized several items, including computer equipment and data storage devices containing images of children being sexual abused, RCMP Cpl. Jean-Marc Paré stated in a news release.
A man was arrested and later released on strict conditions to not be in contact with children under the age of 16 and not to have access to a computer, said Paré.
The man will appear in court at a later date to face charges, he said.
The RCMP's Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, Saint John Police Force and Toronto Police Service participated in the investigation.
Members of the RCMP's Technological Crime Unit and District 2 RCMP assisted in the search.
