Woman dies in head-on highway crash near Chipman

A 41-year-old woman is dead following a head-on crash late Sunday afternoon on Highway 10, near Chipman, RCMP confirm.
Police believe the victim’s sedan crossed the centre line of the two-lane highway in Coal Creek around 5:15 p.m. and was struck by an oncoming transport truck.
The victim, who was from Chipman, died at the scene.
The weather was clear at the time, and police are investigating other possible factors for the crash.
The driver of the transport truck was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The woman’s name hasn’t been released.
