Saint John Police have two men in custody after two separate stabbings overnight.
Around 1 a.m. on Sunday, police said a man was found with multiple stab wounds outside of an apartment on Cedar Street.
The victim, believed to be in his early twenties, remains in hospital.
Police believe there was a fight and that the victim and the attacker know each other.
They arrested a 19-year-old man near the scene.
Minutes after the Cedar Street incident, police were called to King Street in central Saint John.
They found a man in his twenties who was assaulted with a knife. He was taken to hospital but later released.
Police say they arrested a 22-year-old man a short time later on the boardwalk.
They say both men in custody will likely face charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
