Five people were forced out of their home and a firefighter was sent to the hospital following another fire in Saint John’s north end on Monday night.
The fire broke out at 64 Albert Street just before 6:30 p.m.
The Saint John Fire Department sent 24 firefighters to the fire. A fire official says the home was fully engulfed by the time they arrived.
One firefighter had to be treated for heat exhaustion and smoke inhalation.
There were no other injuries.
Fire and police investigators are now looking into the cause of the fire.
