It's not out of the ordinary to see planes flying in and out of the Fredericton International Airport, but the addition of some bright yellow Second World War planes in the sky is drawing attention.
They're part of a Vintage Wings of Canada exhibition now touring the Atlantic region.
Todd Lemieux, a director with the organization, said the planes are painted a bright, canary yellow for training identification purposes.
The vintage planes bring back a flood of memories for Bob Kerton, a veteran of the Canadian Air Force.
"I never flew in these beautifully restored World War II trainers, but the people who did fly in them were my heroes. They were my heroes growing up and they're my heroes today," he said.
Kerton said he's thrilled the planes are in Fredericton.
"It's a museum. It's a live museum and I wish everyone would take advantage to see it when it comes to your town. Hopefully more people from the Fredericton area will be here this afternoon," he said.
The planes will be at the Fredericton airport until Wednesday, before taking off for Halifax.
