Meth, cocaine seized in Val-d'Amour

Police say they’ve struck a blow to drug trafficking in northern New Brunswick after numerous drugs were seized from a home in Val-d’Amour.
Methamphetamine pills, cocaine, Oxycodone pills, marijuana and cash were seized, RCMP Cpl. Dan Melanson stated in a news release.
A 52-year-old man from Val-d’Amour has been charged with four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, he said.
The man has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in Campbellton provincial court on Tuesday for a bail hearing.
Police executed a search warrant at a home in Val-d’Amour on Friday.
The District 9 RCMP Street Crime Unit and the Northeast Integrated Intelligence Unit (NEIIU) conducted the search with the assistance of RCMP members from Districts 6, 8 and 9; the BNPP Regional Police Force, which serves Beresford, Nigadoo, Petit-Rocher and Pointe-Verte; Bathurst City Police and Miramichi Police.
