Marijuana grow-op in Codys dismantled
Firearms and contraband tobacco also seized

About 220 marijuana plants were seized from a residence in Codys. (RCMP)An indoor marijuana grow-operation in Codys, N.B., has been dismantled, resulting in the seizure of marijuana plants, firearms and contraband tobacco.
RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on March 16, Const. Marc Fortin stated in a news release.
About 220 marijuana plants, which could produce up to 110,000 joints, were seized, he said.
Police also discovered marijuana-growing equipment, loaded and unsecured firearms, and contraband tobacco, said Fortin.
The residents were not present during the search.
Charges of marijuana production, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of contraband tobacco, and possession of loaded and unsecured firearms are pending, he said.
The investigation continues.
